Every week I find another LED down light with a more intense light. The fact that they are so much cheaper to run and last so long must be good for our green intentions. Granite
worktop sales have increased significantly as the price has fallen over the
last five years and certainly we have supplied more granite work tops in the
last 3 years than in the previous 22! Granite comes from all over the world and
so our traditional sources of Italy, Spain and Portugal are being squeezed by
East European and Asian suppliers. This has meant that granite tops are now
more affordable and kitchens of all types can boast granite tops. Together with
the introduction of the Australian product DryTreat a superb stone sealer, with
the concerns with granite staining, even the really porous versions, River
Gold, Kashmir White and Kashmir Gold, when treated by accredited applicators,
they are prepared to give our clients a 15 year written warranty against
staining it is a win win situation an enables us to use more diverse granite
colours with confidence.
As more painted kitchens appear on the market, even the large multiple stores are dipping their toes into the market, there is the ability to create outstanding kitchens with two colours and create a traditional feel but in a contemporary style. The next big thing to hit the kitchen market will be Matt doors; they have been manufactured in Europe for awhile and now we are seeing them coming across. They create a stunning visual kitchen and the matt colours just add a further dimension to texture.
Bathrooms are generally becoming more modern, the new Laufen Pro wall hung and floor standing w/c pans are exactly what the market wanted, and as with their entire product the attention to detail and the finish are superb. Aqualisa’s digital shower and bath filler products are still unrivalled and have to be considered the market leaders in this technology. The ability to have a bath overflow filler that does not require a separate pump and hot and cold valves has meant that the taps disappear and there is a nice clean look.
The internet is here to stay and we must work with it and I do not have a problem with it, the web can be a great tool for clients and there are definite savings however please heed the following.
Before you commit to any Internet purchase please beware of the following;
· What we quote includes delivery and after sales guarantee - what does the Internet trader provide
· If the wrong or faulty product is supplied how is the product returned and replaced by the Internet trader
· If the sink is supplied from a different source to the kitchen (and is installed by someone different) who guarantees the worktop and the cabinets if there is any damage as a result
· Many Internet traders go bankrupt - do you know where their physical premises are situated
· There are often hidden extras in Internet prices; delivery charges, high prices for additional extras that are required, that you should be aware of
· With most Internet purchases you will not know if the goods are in stock and when they can be delivered until you have paid, I will tell you before you pay me anything
So before you feel that the Internet is cheaper give us a chance to provide you a real service.
