What guarantees do you offer?
It varies from manufacturer to manufacturer as an example “Alba Kitchens” have a 25 year guarantee
Would you carry out the design, and how does it work?
Yes, we have in-house designers who would be delighted to discuss your requirements and then produce a quality 3D plan for you to discuss. We can also work from detailed builder’s plans if preferred. In both cases this gives you the opportunity to see your project before it has started and before you spend any money!
Do you charge for re-planning my kitchen or bathroom?
No, we don’t charge for any design process.
Do you offer a supply & fit service?
We offer a supply only service if you wish to use your own installer.
However, we have a number of independent kitchen & bathroom teams who have worked with us in the past that we can provide to complete the works under a separate contract.
If you require a complete “done for you service” which is project managed from start to finish then we can offer you our Premier Service where all aspects of the project are with MBK.
How long will it take in install a new kitchen/ bathroom?
This is dependent on the size if the job. Once we have discussed your needs and planned your new installation we will be able to give an accurate timescale for completion.
How long will we lose our cooking & washing facilities in the kitchen for?
You will lose all cooking and washing facilities until such time the new appliances are installed which is normally 5/7 days
How long will we be without a toilet & bathing facilities?
Generally you are only without a toilet for the duration of day when the replacement is being installed. However, bathing facilities will be restricted until the tiling and the grouting have been completed.
You will NEVER be left without water for domestic use & heating.
Do you carry out all of the other work (electrical, plumbing, plastering etc.)?
Yes we carry out all other work as specified / requested in accordance with the relevant regulations.
Do we have to be in the house?
No – our installers are quite happy to be left on their own however we will ask that you leave a contact number for any emergencies. Our installers also have proven record of working in peoples houses unsupervised and references can be seen on “Checkatrade”
What happens to the rubbish?
We will dispose of all the building rubble & packaging (including the old installation) associated with the project off site, & we hold a certificate of registration under the Waste Regulation
